Letter from a resident about Controlled Parking
I feel there must be many people who share the concerns of Ute Dallimer concerning the Residents' Parking Scheme. Certainly my vote was in favour of the scheme only for a limited number of hours and I would be likely to object to the imposition of the more usual scheme.
We should remember that not everyone was canvassed in May. The Churches for instance have concerns about their ability to serve the community at weddings and funerals if they can't reserve spaces outside the buildings. We should also not forget the many local users of the church halls.
Sometimes the " Devil you know" is better than the one you don't. This may be true of Residents' Parking.
