Dear Editor,

In looking up back numbers of your newsletter, which I inherited when I moved here last year, I see that you constantly urge Residents to buy and shop locally, particularly from those businesses which advertise with you.

I took you at your word a few months ago, when I went in for a loft conversion. All the necessary extras (shower room, decorating, carpets, curtains, matching bedding) were available locally. I compared prices and services with other, often nationwide suppliers on cost, style and quality. I was amazed to find absolute bargains on my doorstep. Service was also first rate, e.g. goods arriving exactly when promised, expertly fitted and installed by courteous, helpful specialists. I can't comment on after-care as there have been no problems since supply.

I can only thank you for your advice, which I am passing on to others.
