Wimbledon Park Wish List

What I really, really want. Residents tell us what they hope the Millennium will bring to Wimbledon Park.

Businessman:
Lower business rates to encourage more shops and traders.

Family with 3 Children under 8:
Fairer parking system.

Elderly Resident:
No cycling on the pavement.

Senior resident with eyesight problems:

Please would people trim hedges and cut down branches overhanging the pavements - this would make walking less hazardous.

Two Shopkeepers:
A united attempt to cut down the graffiti disfiguring the area.

Young Couple:
More restaurants & winebars.

Mother with baby in pram:

Am I speaking too soon?  There seems to be less dog dirt. All I can say to dog owners is "Keep up the good work".

WPRA Committee:

Thanks to all who support, but we've always room for more members & more volunteers, regular or occasional.

Newcomer:

I'd welcome a neighbourhood focus such as a Community Centre, for housing clubs and group activities. This is a friendly place anyway, but a local centre would make it more so.
