The school now offers after school clubs which the children enjoy and are a support to working parents.
Citizenship - electing a Children's Council involved introducing the children to democratic processes - elections, presentations and selections. Visits to Merton's Council Chamber to meet the Mayor and real Councillors have been well received by the children.
Over the years several Merton Mayors have visited, together with a very good friend of the school, Member of Parliament for Wimbledon, Roger Casale. Roger instigated a prized letter from Tony Blair, the Prime Minister, which congratulated the school on its achievements in ICT.
Following Lesley Harcourt's excellent example WPPS continues to promote good citizenship through its school policies. The concepts and the qualities that good citizens need to develop are addressed across the Curriculum and in all areas of school life.
