From the Chairman

This year 2000 started with both a bang and a whimper. It banged (literally) for those who whooped it up on New Year's Eve and loved the Dome. It whimpered for those who, nursing their 'flu in bed1 missed the parties and hated the Dome.

Now we have moved on into spring with the promise of summer activities. Three very important ones will happen here in Wimbledon Park.

On Friday, May l2th, the Committee is hosting a quiz night. This is largely for fun but also has a serious purpose, namely, to publicise the existence and activities of the Association which can only exist with support from Residents. Do come along and take part.

Keep clear Friday June l6th - Sunday June 18th to support the Millennium Weekend which will highlight "Life in

Wimbledon Park - - Past, Present and Future

Then, dodging Wimbledon fortnight, we have the Front Garden Competition, now in its tenth year.

Remember too, we have swung into the 21st century with our web site. Find us at: -

In its infancy at the moment it carries the Newsletter and Minutes of meetings. We hope to add planning applications and crime figures. ~'
