The local housing market continues to flourish. Plum Lettings report increased demand for all types of rental property, from one-bedroom flats to four bed-roomed family houses. This is a good time to invest in property to rent as this Revelstoke Road company is achieving higher rental values than ever.

As for sales, Mark Barnet of the Woolwich has recorded a very good year, with property prices only now levelling off. Mark believes that prices are likely to remain stable for the foreseeable future. The manager of Hawes ( Arthur Road ) Julie Kerrigan agrees. The branch has been very busy since the beginning of the year, with prices stabilising over the last three months. Julie adds that Wimbledon Park remains popular and in high demand.

Congratulations, again, to Jackie and Nick of "The Curtain Lady", already a recipient of a national award as the best fabric and furnishings shop. Their own home, designed, decorated and furnished by them, has recently featured in a magazine article. Now, "Woman's Weekly", in the 4th August edition, is devoting another full-length article to this stylish home.

Finally a warm thank you to those local businesses who support us, by placing our posters in their windows, donating items for our raffles and advertising in this newsletter. Thanks to our own sponsors, the newsletter is self-funding and can be delivered free to all homes in Wimbledon Park. For your easy reference, Ceri Sheeran ( who puts in hours of work setting up each edition on his computer ) has supplied an index of advertisers. If you deal with any of these, perhaps you'll mention reading about them here.
