Best Street is Braemar Avenue

Also noted for several pleasing and high standard gardens were Kenilworth Avenue and Wellington Road.

All Year interest Winner is 23 Landgrove Road.

Both 4 Kenilworth Avenue & 40 Durnsford Avenue deserve a special mention, the latter innovatively departing from the traditional flowers & shrubs and opting for herbs.

Best Summer Interest Winner is 40 Mount Road.

This garden sensitively combines a car-parking space within a well designed north facing garden imaginatively combining stones, bricks,  tiles & gravel.

The judges also commend 34 Mount Road.
The Container Garden Winner is 64/64a Normanton Avenue.

This resplendent front garden has excellent solutions to practical problems.

For judging, Wimbledon Park was divided into 11 areas, each visited by two voluntary judges. The finalists were:-

Generally, the Judges felt there was a marked improvement in the standard. It is rare that more than 30 gardens reached the final stage and many more prizes could easily have been awarded.
