From the Editor

Unfortunately, this is the last edition of the newsletter that I shall be editing Like an iceberg, only one tenth of the work that goes into the newsletter can be seen, the other nine tenths being the hours spent in assembling, producing and proof-reading. But it's nearly always been a pleasure to do, especially as it sends you out into the community to meet the people who fund it: our advertisers. What a loyal group of supporters these are!

However, I hope to remain on the W.P.R.A. committee, to organise some social events all. We are planning to hold a chamber-concert in mid-October, a wine tasting, and a shopping trip to Calais to stock up the wine ( and food ) racks before Christmas. If you have any suggestions for other events, please let me know.

Many people contribute to the newsletter but two are invaluable: Ceri Sheeran, who produces it and George Gomez who has the task of proof-reading and who shares with me a lifelong commitment to the apostrophe.

A successor has yet to come forward, but he or she takes over with every good wish.
