Directions from Wimbledon Park Underground Station to the Wimbledon Tennis Museum and the courts of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, home of Wimbledon Tennis.
Leave Wimbledon Park Underground Station by the only exit up the stairs and turn immediately left onto Arthur Road as you leave the station.
Walk up the hill and past the two width restrictions and cross over the road.
At the next crossroads 75 to 100 metres, turn right into Home Park Road, remaining on the right hand side of the road.
Continue for some 125 - 150 metres. Through the railings to your right you will see some tennis courts in a park, this is Wimbledon Park. There is then an entrance to this park on your right. Do not go as far as the golf course club house and entrance.
Go into the park, look over the area to the left of the tennis courts, there is a children's play area. Go down the steps and follow the path across this play area past a paddling pool towards the sand pit and small swings. In the distance about 150 metres away you will see a lake. The path leads to this lake through a set of gates.
Follow the path along the side of the lake towards a small sports / athletics stadium surrounded by trees, there are also floodlights visible inside the trees. If you look across the lake, you may see cranes at the tennis club or during the tennis fortnight, the high level television camera. The buildings of the tennis complex are also visible, during the tennis fortnight you will also see some tents.
At the end of the path by the lake, you can either go through the side of the stadium, if the gates are open it may be possible to go straight through the grounds of the stadium to the exit at the far end, this exit may not always be open though. Or go around the outside of the stadium along a gravel path.
As you complete walking along two sides of the stadium, you will see another entrance to the park about 200 metres away. Leave the park by this exit and turn immediately left onto Wimbledon Park Road. This then leads directly onto Church Road.
The Tennis Museum and grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club are about 900 metres along Church Road on the right hand side as you walk. On your left will be a golf course. There are side roads on the right. After you pass these you will reach the tennis complex.
