Dear Resident
Wimbledon Park Guide
This guide has been published jointly by the WPRA and The Tennis Gallery Wimbledon located in Arthur Road. The cost has been almost entirely met through local advertising. We are particularly appreciative of the original artwork provided by local artist Stephen Chaplin
We are deliving a free copy to all (2300) households who normally receive our newsletter and hope that you will find it a worthwhile addition to your library of local information for yourselves and any visitors you may have.
The idea of the guide was born out of recognition that throughout the year so many people emerge from the Tube station and are looking for directions to the Park or alternatively the AELTC and Tennis Museum. After all, Wimbledon Park is the natural home of Tennis.
It also recognises that we want Wimbledon Park to be a thriving business and residential community which will attract visitors and establish it more firmly on the map as a good place to visit. We find more and more people are using Wimbledon Park station as their stepping off point for the 'All England' during Wimbledon fortnight.
As you know the AELTC will be the Olympic venue for the Tennis in 2012. We would like Wimbledon Park to be seen as a natural partner for any positive activity leading up to that event.
This is a first attempt at what we expect to be an annual publication. If you wish any addition copies they can be obtained at a cost of £1.00 each from either The Tennis Gallery in Arthur Road who have a good supply or the WPRA.
If you have any comments or suggestions feel freed to email either Richard Jones or myself.
